Meridian is a demonstration project, not a real shop. No order placed here is ever dispatched, and no real payment is taken — card processing runs in Stripe's test mode, where card number 4242 4242 4242 4242 stands in for a real card.
Product photography and base catalogue data come from DummyJSON, a public API of sample commerce data. Product descriptions and specification tables were generated to give the assistant substantive material to reason over.
The assistant answers from this catalogue and these policy documents by retrieval, not from memory. When it reports an order, it is querying the database as the signed-in customer, and Postgres row-level security prevents it from reading anyone else's data.
Prices, ratings and stock levels are sample data and do not reflect any real product or retailer.
This document is embedded and retrievable — when you ask the assistant a policy question, it answers from this text rather than from memory.
